Really a true story?
Yes. In June 1915, at the height of the World War, Vladimir Lenin with his wife Nadejda Krupskaya and their close friend Inessa Armand, stayed at a mountainous Swiss resort Sörenberg. Lenin had a habit of taking a swim in the local river without a swimsuit. Nude bathing was not welcomed by the locals, who preserved conservative patriarchal traditions. Lenin had a conflict with a member of the cantonal council.
The incident was reported in local newspapers, it is still remembered today. The play of Vsevolod Bernstein «Naked Lenin» is based on this true story.

«Naked Lenin» is an artistic project realized in a literary, theatrical and cinematographic form.
The purpose of this project is to desacralize politicians. Big politics is made by real people. These people should not become an object of worship.
The main principle of the project is to hold to historical, geographical and linguistic accuracy.
The project is brought to life by a team of professional and amateur performers from Russia and Ukraine, who are currently living in Switzerland.
